Basis of charges

A non-refundable £75 registration fee is payable when completing our registration form and going on our waiting list.

A deposit of £600 for full-time children and £400 for term-and part-time children is payable prior to a child’s starting. This deposit is refundable after a child leaves provided that the appropriate written notice has been given and that all fees have been paid

Fees are due on or before the first day of the term, for all children attending term time. All other children’s fees are due on the first day of the month

If payment of fees is not made on the due date interest of 10% is added and a child may be refused attendance.

There is no reduction of fees if a child is absent for any reason.

Parents do arrive after 6.00pm (or 6.30pm if that is their normal time for collection) are charged £20.00 per half hour, or part of a half hour, per child

If a parent is more than 10 minutes late collecting a child at the end of a session an extra hour’s fee will be charged.

Fees are subject to an increase at the start of each academic year.

The Preparatory School and Nursery are closed on Bank Holidays and no refunds are made for Bank Holidays.

The Preparatory School and Nursery is open for 46 weeks this year.

Hours of attendance

Attendance must be a minimum of 2 sessions which are regular and repeating.

Extra hours may be added with notice and depending on availability.

If a part-time, child is absent on his/her usual day of attendance it is not possible to change to another day of the week instead.

Children can increase their days of attendance at any time, subject to availability.

Illness and medicines

Children who are ill should remain at home. Children who appear ill may be refused attendance on arrival at the nursery at the discretion of the

Children suffering from sickness and/or diarrhoea should stay away for 24 hours after the symptoms cease.

Prescribed medicines, including inhalers, may be given to the children if necessary. These should be handed in to a member of staff and the medicine book

Children should remain at home for the first 24 hours after starting a course of antibiotics.

Parents must inform staff of any illness/accident/medication that the child has had at home in the 24 hours before attending nursery.

Notice period

One complete month’s notice of removal for children under 2½ years is due in writing to the Head. Failure to give the required notice will result in one month’s fees being charged in lieu of notice.

When a child reaches 2½ years and transfers to the Pre-Preparatory Department this period of notice extends to one term. Parents must give one term’s written notice of withdrawing a child from the school. Failure to do so will result in the payment of one term’s fees being charged in lieu of notice.
